We apply a black powder-coat finish to make it resist both corrosion and the elements. Turned-down steps on the top of the blade feature pre-drilled holes for a foot pad (sold separately find them HERE).
We secure the blade to the handle using a double-rivet handle assembly. We make the handle from American Ash. This straight handle allows for increased leverage.
